Benefits of Languages

I think they're tons of benefits in learning more than one language. It was said that if you know more than one language it can decrease the chance of developing alzheimers as you age. It is very important to know more than one language in todays society because there is millinons of people who speak totally different languages and knowning them can be very useful for today. Also, young kids that grow up and a multi speaking family find it easier to communicate with others, and if they're grandparents speak no english they still know how to communicate and be able to be closer with family members. In conclusion, i believe that learning more than one language is a good idea.

A Famous Spanish person

          For my famous person I did Sonia Sotomayor. She was the first hispanic Supreme Court Judge in the United States. She grew up in Bronx New York. Sonia graduated from Princeton University in 1976, and received the highest honor that Princeton can handout to undergraduates. She became not only the third women to sit on the bench for the United States, but the first hispanic women.

Current Event #1

On August 23rd there was a grenade attack in Mexico at a Casino. Almost 53 people died or were either severely injured. Not to mention it is an estimate that 20 to 30 people were trapped in the casino and could not get out because of the falling debris. Mexico's President Felipe Calderon said that they are going to do all they can to find the suspects that caused such an obscene destruction, and they will be punished for what they have done.

my first blog!

What I hope for this semester is to make really good grades, and pass Spanish. Also I want to have a good paying job so I can hopefully be able to move out by the end of next summer. I never blogged before so this will deffiently be a new thing... I think this can be a useful tool because it expands technology in school and help kids learn new things about our technology.
